Special Notes

Eligibility - Available to all juniors (under 17) who live in Scotland.

For children who have no Chess Scotland grading, just enter their school in the 'Details if not in the grading list' box and ignore the 'Grade/Rating details' section when making an entry.

Please read the Conditions of Entry below. If you wish to make an enquiry, please use the Contact page.

Fair Play - We use several methods to make sure all competitors play in a fair environment. To keep the integrity of the tournament, we do not allow players to continue to participate in the tournament if their Lichess account is closed or we receive a exceptionally high ROI reading from Professor Ken Regan's FIDE Screening Tool. Please Note We will be scanning games tournaments games and communicating with Lichess. We will withdraw players if they are picked up on the FIDE screen or their account is closed by Lichess.

We work with other organisers and arbiters of chess competitions, and from time to time it may be necessary for us to share information with them in order that suspected Fair Play transgressions might be more quickly resolved. This use of your data is done to encourage fair play and for the smoother running of this and other chess events. By entering the congress you are accepting this unfortunately necessary condition of entry.

A report to the Scottish Anti-Cheating Committee will be sent if any exceptionally high ROI readings from Professor Ken Regan's FIDE Screening Tool are identified. They will determine if further action is required.
Real names and Lichess handles will be displayed in the entries list and any external software we use.

Prizes

We will organise Trophies for age, gender and section winners with medals/badges for runners up in both tournament events. These will be announced before the start of the tournament.

Entry Fee

£10, for both main tournaments. All other events free and optional.

Please use the on-line entry page to add your entry, then use the Pay button. Entries will be automatically entered onto the Entries page when your payment has been accepted.

For children who have no Chess Scotland grading, just enter their school in the 'Details if not in the grading list' box and ignore the 'Grade/Rating details' section when making an entry. Please use the contact page if you have any issues whilst entering.

After making a successful payment, you will need to join the "SCT 1st Juniors Tattie Week" Team in Lichess.org. You will then join the tournaments you wish to play in that week.
