Each player will have 80 minutes plus a 10 second increment per move from move 1.
Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, Lancashire, PR25 1DH.
It is a modern conference venue and is less than 10 minutes from the M6 Exit 28.
The IT facilities allow us to use live boards that will be broadcast on the website.
Pairings and up to date results will be displayed on the on the TV monitors in the playing hall
There is free on site car parking and public Wi-Fi is available.
Exit the motorway at junction 28, turn left (from north or south) towards Leyland. Go straight across at the double roundabout onto King Street. Pass the Commercial Vehicle Museum on your left and then you come to a set of traffic lights. Turn left at the lights. Continue along Towngate, through the traffic lights and follow the road right into Lancastergate. At the end of the road, turn left and first right onto West Paddock. The Civic Centre is on your right, go past the Civic Centre to enter the car park at the rear of the building.
Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be available during the day.
The higher of FIDE or ECF rating when entered determines entry eligibility. For players who do not appear in the standard play list, other lists may be used at the discretion of the organisers.
Unrated players must provide evidence for the organisers to assess their playing strength and any previous known rating must be declared.
Rating/Information – It is a condition of entry that players agree to their rating information being published on the ECF website and the FIDE website.
Absent players will be defaulted after 30 minutes. We will seek to offer games for players who do not have a game.
Conditions
- Transfer entrants between events
- Withhold prizes from unrated players if they play in events below their strength indicated on entry
- The organisers reserve the right to redistribute in whole or in part any additional prizes won by a competitor who has already won or shared a larger prize.
- Take any other measures deemed necessary to ensure the smooth running of the congress
